On the Anvil.. Plans to extend 15630 & 15930 till Tambaram.
Sources within Southern Railway said that a couple of more trains from Assam, which terminate at Egmore, are also likely to be extended till Tambaram. “Shifting express trains to terminate at Tambaram is a long-term plan. Egmore and Central are land-locked and operating at full capacity . This move will help de-congest,“ said a railway official.
Though currently , this move is seen as a purely operational necessity , observers feel this will benefit many north and central migrants, who are living...
