Off-topic photo. Participated in human chain against steel flyover between Chalukya circle to Hebbal flyover in Namma Bengaluru. The project is not a wise move as already we have a railway track to Devanhalli. This can be doubled with RE and run MEMU/DEMU. this is cost effective and reduce traffic to Airport on Devanahalli road by constructing a halt station near the airport and BMTC can run feeder service. The flyover is not environment friendly as around 800 trees are to be cut.

The Govt looks towards constructing Metro where there is a rail track till Devanahalli, such a waste of resources and money. This steel flyover is another such bad proposal making Bengaluru a concrete jungle.

Yes. Dodjala station is nearest to KIA.
-
Just a few trains on that line. Underutilised section.
A few existing DEMUs can be run upto there, then BMTC to KIA.

to DJL = 1 hr. From there hardly half an hour to airport. No traffic hassles, pollution.
-
Even if they want to improve it, they can add few platforms at DJL and double-electrify YNK-DJL = 14 kms stretch.
