This train can be speeded up in many stretches in Kerala. The attached response from railways is kind of mixed. The reason for slack is to avoid unnecessary detention in many stretches where speed varies.
Hopefully in the near future might be improved is what the response says.

Absolutely right. This train runs like or lower than passenger train with lot of disrespect and most of the time allowed for overtaking. The train also has cushion in Trichur to PGT stretch. Railways should take immediate steps to speedup so that it can reach Bangalore 30 minutes early
