Can anyone update on electrification of Manmand daund section in Maharashtra. the progress of electrification.
Also please update whether this Manmand Daund route (which is single line present), if any steps have been taken by GoI to make it double line??

MMR DD single line has been electrified and numerous trains plying in the PUNE-DD-MMR section are being hauled by E locos. Doubling proposal if any is unknown to me.
It is understood from rail sources that Manmad Daund section-route-is likely to be made double line soon and work has started.
