a train X-Z exp starts from origin stn X on 10th morning , and reaches enroute station Y at 5 pm on next day 11th then proceeds towards Z reaching on 12th morning .. my question is that when will the final for chart for stn Y be prepared ? ..ie, a person with WL ticket from stn Y will be able to know if the ticket was upgraded to Rc/CNF or not by which time ? on 10 itself few hrs before deo frm origin ? or 4-5 hrs before train is scheduled to reach stn Y on 11th?

if it is RLWL and a big junction where charting can be prepared, the chart will be prepared 4hrs before departure from that station.
and it is clear that for a long journey many big junctions come under.
So for station Y if it is a charting station then the chart will be prepared 4hrs before the departure.
