LHB leads to capacity augmentation of trains. Daily trains as Mumbai, Coromandel, Kalka, TN, etc are daily running trains that have huge bookings all round the year. A weekly or biweekly trains does not have equal patronage compared to a daily train. As far as rakes are concerned single rake specials just manage to score brownies in election sops but daily trains LHB offers service to more and larger part of population.

Last time when I saw only ALD was removed but COI was not written
The increase in capacity is only for upper classes while sleeper class it is marginal The most suffers are general class which are loading the half GS bogies in the end. Recently when pandian exp converted people went yo high court for provision of general coaches. I support LHB coaches for important trains rather then specials but some section of travellers are suffering.
