Todays accident near kanpur is largely due to poor maintenance of coaches. The wheels of the coaches are not properly and timely checked. Many times the wheels give different types of sounds which scare away passengers. This is due to lack of maintenance of coaches.
Main reason for accidents is that the same rakes are used on alternative routes leaving no time for staff for total and detail check up of rakes before starting for new routes. Another reason is that the speed of the train, especially during night hours, is much more than prescribed, a a result, chances of accident go up.
