Sir/Madam
The following are the immediate requirements on Harbour Line trains :-
1. Shuttle services for those travelling to BARC and travelling within Navi Mumbai from Panvel to Mankhurd are required, to enable commuters working in BARC to get down at Mankhurd and Navi Mumbai commuters to get down at /Belapur/Sanpada/Nerul/Vashi and also to board connecting trains to Thane from Nerul/Juinagar/Sanpada/Vashi. There are tracking facilities at Mankhurd which is being underutilized currently. This train should ply once every 20 minutes from 8.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. and from 6.00 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. Mankhurd

to Panvel. Introduction of this train would reduce overcrowding of CST and Vadala Road bound trains in the morning and Panvel bound trains in the evening.
2. There is only one direct train during the morning peak hours at 7.40 a.m. from Panvel to Andheri. The next train is at 10.47 a.m. from Panvel to Andheri. Therefore, to counter the rush and to provide better connectivity between Panvel and Andheri, the trains from Panvel to Vadala Road at 7.56 a.m., 8.36 a.m. should be converted to Panvel Andheri Trains. Likewise, the trains plying from CST to Bandra/Andheri which reach Vadala Road around the same time can be converted to Vashi/Belapur trains as applicable so that the existing schedule is not disrupted. This way overcrowding will be reduced and passengers boarding and alighting at Vadala Road will heave a sigh of relief.
The following are requirements by March 2017:-
1. The train frequency to be one train every 5 minutes from Panvel to CST/Vadala, 8 minutes from CST to Bandra/Andheri, 15 minutes from Belapur to CST/Vadala and 15 minutes from Vashi to CST/Vadala and 20 minutes from Panvel to Mankhurd. The above such train frequency should be from 7.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. during morning peak hours and from 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. during evening peak hours.
2. New trains to be introduced from Kharghar to CST, Kharghar to Mumbai Central via Mahim and Kharghar to Bandra/Borivilii via Mahim from PF no. 3 & 4. Alternatively, the tracking facilities at Juinagar station and Khandeshwar stations can be utilized to introduce new trains from Juinagar/Khandeshwar to Bandra/Borivili via Mahim.
3. New local train services to be commenced on the Panvel-Karjat line to connect Karjat from Panvel through suburban trains.
4. Fast trains from Panvel to CST with halts at Belapur, Vashi, Chembur and Kurla and slow from Kurla and fast trains between Panvel to Andheri with halts at Belapur, Vashi, Chembur, Kurla and Vadala and slow from Vadala are required.
It is a humble request to the railway authorities to do the needful immediately and oblige.
