With so many uncertainities regarding the construction, its route, is is difficult to say when the rail line through Kashmir valley shall finally be commissioned. Given the progress in a decade, it may be at least one more decade unless some extra efforts are made in the right direction. It is possible that targeted 100kmph operational speed may not be achieved on many sections, It would be extremely impractical to make judgement about the avg speed and time table for an express train on this route at this juncture.
