Post gauge conversion of Aishbagh (ASH) - Sitapur (STP) section should NER start doubling & electrification so that an alternative route from Gorakhpur (GKP) and Lucknow (LJN) towards Moradabad (MB) for Delhi would be ready to reduce current load. Please vote...

With the eastern DFC being constructed at a fast pace, the load on the trunk lines in UP, Bihar shall reduce as many freight shiall be diverted to DFC. With CNB-LKO already a double line, not much traffic should be there on the newly converted route,so immediate doubling is not warranted. How ever electrification may be started after 1-3years of completion of Gauge conversion, in line with the plan of IR to convert 24000 RKMs in next 6 years.
DFC = Dedicated Freight Corridor
RKMs = Route Kilometers
