Yesterday, somehow tolerated a very long journey by 12314 in this very foggy weather. Train started from ndls at 9:30 pm, took full13 hrs to reach cnb. Ndls-Cnb section totally crippled. Fog is not the only issue--huge traffic congestion in all major stations is blocking trains badly and creating record delays throughout Ndls-Cnb.
Train took up mps, journey became normal, better and faster after cnb and as train went further away from the dreaded ncr.
Good news is food arrangements are now much better than what I had heard...

Cnb-ald still alright in daytime if no fog. But cnb-ndls crippled whole day, fog or no fog.
There is urgent need to shift Govindpuri goods yard to somewhere else atleast not within 30 km vicinity of Kanpur city...This is the worst ever bottleneck present in IR network....Sad that Kasganj Kanpur & Kasganj Bareilly section not able to share any load from Delhi Kanpur section.
Time to bypass CNB like AD does. Intead of CNB some other station as PNK or GVpuri can be taken
Yes, goods trains are responsible for such high congestion in cnb area...but some ppl saying maintenance work is going on in this area for more caution after that accident few days back.
