Today the phrase Super fast train has lost its significance. It has become a tool of IR to charge SF charge and the train any how is given the stipulated 55kmph speed in time table, where as practically it may be always late and maintain a speed lesser than 55kmph.
Gone are the days when SF trains (TN, AP, Geetanjali, Coromandal, SuperExp etc) used to maintain distinctly high avg. speed of 60+ kmph speed against 50kmph of normal express trains on the route.

In Recent Past Witnessed Only One Train Running Like "SUPERFAST" , Very Short Distance Train Though..... Shantiniketan Exp [ BHP-HWH]
Frankly speaking let the trains be as they are....there is no point paying more with the same speed....we have already seen in the past that many crawler like trains like swatantrata sainani, magadh, mahakaushal, chambal,etc being converted into superfast & their punctuality level degraded even more after that.....converting trains to superfast category is just a means of more earning by the railways & nothing else....
