LHB and a hybrid LHB one
******************
1. Pure LHB Coach:
These coaches were imported from Alstom LHB (Geramany). These coaches have a stainless steel shell mounted on FIAT bogies fitted with Disc breaks. The coaches are longer than the ICF coaches and due to this, they were able to accommodate more passengers per coach and all the coaches of this design have

CBC couplers. Even though the coaches were imported with ToT (transfer of technology) localisation has not reached the bogies and due to this, the FIAT bogies are being imported and are expensive. These type of coaches are certified fit to run at 160 Kmph.
2. Hybrid LHB coach :
We can either call it an innovation/cost cutting by RCF, which mounted the LHB shell on improved ICF bogies by including a Yaw dampner for improved riding quality. But due to this, the MPS of such Hybrid coaches has been restricted to 130 Kmph. The comments are that, even with improved ICF bogie, the ride quality is bad than the original LHB coaches with FIAT bogies. To give you an example the 12007/08 MAS-MYS shat is a pure LHB rake while MAS-NZM Duranto is a Hybrid rake with LHB shell and ICF bogies.

I used to believe that since AP usually gets P-7 the jerk may be because of P-7 but later on when i have experienced in P-4 lead TN Exp i was totally confused and thought may be my interpretations were wrong.

The jerk of CBC couplers might prove dangerous for those standing near the door and standing without any support haha coz these jerks are nasty.

CBC Coupling provides extra safety to passengers: here i would like to Quote one of our admin Mr Murali sir on the topic " how cbc coupling provides xtra safety to passengers"
CBC couplers are like two fists gripping each other. The chances of
un-coupling in case of derailment are very low, so one coach climbing over
other

is low.
If a accident enough force to tip a coach over to its side. the two adjacent coaches will hold this coach straight remember Bhuvneshwar Raj incident a
few months back. There is a extremely small chance that the whole rake may
tip over.
Even in the Dnynashweri Exp incidence, where half the rake tipped over it's
side onto the adjacent track, this CBC would have kept the rake upright
(Loco and first half of the train had not derailed) and at the most a few
feet to the side.
The world has used CBC since 1960's, even with steam locos, our old MG
stock is also retrofitted with CBC couplers.
