I just planned a tour of Katra and Amritsar.
My plan is as follows.
Delhi to Katra by 12445 Uttar Sampark Kranti Exp
Arrival at Katra in the morning

1 night stay at hotel, as I will have my4 years old kid with me, so don't want to comeback the same day
Next day, explore Jammu/Katra and leave for New Delhi by 12426 Jammu Rajdhani in the evening.
Reach New Delhi at 5:00 AM and catch the Amritsar Shatabdi at 7:20 AM
Arrive at Amritsar 1:45 PM
Can do either Golden Temple or Wagah border on the same day
stay in hotel for 1 night
Next day, I have the entire day at my disposal to explore Amritsar.
Leave Amritsar at 9:25 PM by 12904 Golden Temple Mail and arrive at Hajrat Nijamuddin next day morning.
Next day evening Flight to Guwahati.
