Nothing is going to improve. The day when any inspection happen the station will look great with all facilities working as expected however in couple of hours once inspection done you can feel the reality so in lat 60+ years only technology wise IR improved but not attitude wise.

quiet right ,almost cleaning & other facilities looks better when drm/gm/rail min officials visit the site ,later concern deptt. forget their duties,because
they don't care the public,by which they get their salaries.suddenly inspection should take place to know the reality.

Dear friend to really change the attitude in a chronically mismanaged government organisation like IR, God have to take incarnation as RM.
For Humans, only way out to change attitude and improve efficiency of Rail Operation in India is, to break the govt monopoly and allow pvt cmpanies to compete with govt owned IR.

Somewhat agree with you sir however until unless officials will take their responsibility seriously even God can't help.

Even good officials are often unable to perform due to extreme levels of political interference and departmental-ism prevalent in IR. After passing through a very stiff competition, highly competent persons get through IR, which is one of the most lucrative jobs in our country. Only the bad system and work culture is killing IR.
A strong competitor with a potential to threaten the survival, can force the much needed changes in working of IR.
