Watch out for the insane smoking by the Alco on a flat land powering a 23 coach train. Powered by an offlink 16358 JMP WDM- 3A, the late running 22512 Kamakhya (KYQ)- Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) KARMABHOOMI Weekly Superfast races past Madhusudanpur station on ER's HB Chord enroute at good speed. Note the loco pilot waving his hand at us. It was quite a kind gesture. Fixed link for this train is a HWH Alco.

It pains to see diesel guzzling smoke spewing monsters running on electrified route.
Locos should be changed to electric as soon as diesel territory ends. Not sure about this particular train's route dynamics though.

The train uses diesel under wires from Rampurhat to Howrah. But it is not possible to do a loco change at Rampurhat for such short halt (5 mins). So the trains will get diesel untill electrification goes all the way till Malda Town.
