The 2 SLR's are lost, So, that's a reduction to 3 UR coaches from 5. True, SLR's are only half-coaches, but given the rush in these trains, the two half-coaches do matter a lot. Also, for the GT, the CC would probably be like 1 HA1, 2 2A, 2 3A ( no change in A/C composition), 12 SL ( one reduced ), 1 Hot Bufffet car, 2 GEN + 2 EOG, which is a loss of 3 UR coaches compared to the present composition. The reduction will definitely play more havoc for long distance trains than short distance trains. If I remember correctly, there were many protests from the passengers after Pandiyan express was converted to LHB, about lack of UR coaches.
