visited the first station on the new railway line between Ginigera (GIN) and Raichur Junction (RC) - Budhagumpa, yesterday. Below are some pics and info of the station as well as the progress of the railway line. Hope it is informative.....

From what I could gather, some 30-35 Kms of railway line has been laid. The work on other stations are on too. Once the track work at Gangavathi station too is completed, the line will be inaugurated it seems. Locals are hopeful that their demand for atleast a passenger to UBL and BAY are accepted.
