This train should be extended to Trivandrum as the only daily express train after Intercity express which reaches Alappuzha at 7.00AM is Netravati express reaching Alappuzha at 3.40PM.
Also in the afternoon, the only daily train after Netravati express leaves Trivandrum Central at 10.00AM is Intercity express, which leaves Trivandrum Central at 5.10PM. The extension of this train will be very helpful to the railway commuters of Alappuzha.
