hi train users, i am from mangaluru and wish to travel to rameshwaram. it could be sleeper or 2 ac with sleeper facilities. could some one of you give me the routes for the same. we are three people. one aged lady + 2 aged gents. thanks. kindly include the waiting time for other trains if a direct train is not available.

1.You can take train number 22629 weekly on Saturday . You will reach Madurai at 00:30 in night and than catch morning passanger to Rameshwaram.(slack 5 hrs)
OR
2.take 16860 (slack 4 hr) to Coimbatore and than 16618 to Rameshwaram. Journey day can only Tuesday.
I think 2 option will be best.

You can also take Hapa - Tirunelveli express on Sunday morning from Mangalore JN at 6 am and reach Tirunelveli at 22:20. Catch Kanyakumari - Rameshwaram sf exp at 23:30 from Tirunelveli.
16860 Maq to Tpj +22661 Tpj to Rmm daily connection. Buffer one hour.
