Mrj Kop distance is not even 50 kms and just for this its waste to run electric loco dead from Pune and moreover even Pune is facing loco shortage and they are heavily depended on AJNI which is located at another end of MH so they wont send the loco dead.
I have asked the person to post pictures of electric loco on Monday. Let's wait and see what happens
Even though it had run with electric loco it might be just for doing formalities for opening this electrified route but until and unless MRJ PUNE or UBL MRJ is electrified only MEMUs will run in this section
Even conversion of DEMUs into MEMUs is doubtful because Kolhapur - Miraj DEMU has RSA with DEMUs towards Pune route & Kurduwadi route. Electrification is still under progress in both sections
