55 km. Between Sakleshpur-Subhramanya road. The night train takes 2:50 hrs and the day train about 2:10 hrs right now.
oh 55 km in 2 hr 50 min its like avg speed 20 - 25 kmph. So it pakka takes 8 to 9 hrs with slack.
What can general public do to persuade SWR start night trains on this route. I have written on various sites like pgportal and the recent railways complaint system. The only response I got is "train would be introduced shortly"
That is purely up to SWR. The ghat section in this route is a very dangerous route, particularly in the night time. Night time patrolling for the Gangmen on the Shiradi ghat section is a very dangerous routine. Until SWR does something to improve the situation there first, there will not be much traffic on the route in the night.
