Eeatern DFC is going to be life line of IR in UP, as it will take on most of the freight trains in UP and give a new lease of life to the large number of passenger trains, running on existing routes (especially the over crowded NDLS-MGS). We can expect 10kmph increase in avg running speed of pax trains once E-DFC is commissioned and freight trains are off the NDLS-MGS route.
