As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also, as of recently, these issues have started flooding the FM Forum - whether the train name should have the tag "SF" or not, whether Regional language should be blank if the train starts from Mumbai and the Marathi name is written exactly the same as the Hindi name, etc.

We need to put a stop to this obsession with getting the name "exactly right" and having long, unending debates about names. Pl. understand that 99.9% of our travellers do not come to IRI to scrutinize train/station names with a microscope. They don't care if you call the train "Abc Express" or "Abc SF Express". If we get the name "somewhat right", then it is FINE. On the other hand, this phenomenon is taking ALL of our focus and energies away from useful and meaningful site updates.

TLMs have been advised that hereafter Trivial name updates should be summarily rejected and voided.
