India is way behind China in terms of railways. Anyone thinking that we can match them in railways is fooling himself. They are already running high speed bullet trains while we are only just getting started. As the RM said in the article, our budgetary allocation is a mere fraction of what the Chinese invest and that too, goes into running of poorly planned trains[for election purposes] or combating accidents[that have proliferated recently].
