Love for Abu Road ALCO and 2 bonus trains : Indian Railways!
Last Friday, I made it a point to capture the weekly 22475 BKN CBE AC Express which visits Konkan behind the NWR's ABR Alco. I had missed capuring this train in the last few weeks owing to my busy schedule.. As soon as the train neared Kundapura (2 stations away from Udupi), I reached the first spot hoping to capture the MPS action of ABR alco + ICF coaches combo. had to wait for another 40 minutes before 22475 appeared. Just as i was about to leave, i heard EMD humming sounds and turned on my video camera. It so happened that the train was a BCNA rake which was speeding south bound lead by sharp cab UBL WDG-4 twins! It was due to this freight that 22475 was held up at Kundapura since it was closely trailing the freight. After a little while i got the 70106 Mangalore Madgaon DEMU train which eventually crossed 22475 superfast at Barkur ( A stop before Udupi). I moved to other location owing to the poor light . Finally, 20 minutes later came the much awaited moment with the fired up ABR WDM-3A firing with the ICF coaches flying at MPS towards Udupi.
