almost empty Indore-Mhow DEMU lazily approaches Rajendra Nagar(RJQ). After gauge conversion, DEMU trains are taking 1 hour from Indore to Mhow, while metre gauge train took 40 minutes! This has resulted in poor occupancy of these DEMU trains :(

Great idea
Someone told me on IRI many days back. He said that Sanawad-Bir rail line banna chahiye, which will be more useful than Ajanti-Mathela bypass. Bir-Surgaon Banjari line already hai. Surgaon Banjari is on KNW-ET section. Aisa hone se Sanawad-Bir-Surgaon Banjari link milegi, which will be the shortest route from Indore to Itarsi

One thing I have observed many times is that many trains do not speed up much on Nagda-Ujjain section, jabki section double-line electric hai. Bas ek Gambhir river bridge single line hai. Shayad koi soil related issue hoga....
