Flight 1600 4 hour total. Train 4 hour Rs 800. Tejas: 1000-1200 4 hour. New 220 supported track Will take 5-6 years due to Land acquisition. Jab banega to 2000-3000 fare hoga. TO tab tak Shatabdi and flight se kaam chaliye.
From delhi till Narela/sonipat there is PSR 1 hour taken by every train , so after sonipat distance is 200 km Considering again KKDE curve and Ambala a major jn train will take 1.5 hour minimum from sonipat to chandigarh. So after so much expense total time saved 1 hour maximum .
Ya, this project seems to be an unrealistic & unpractical one. What's the need to transform all the routes into high speed corridor by investing that much money!!
Shatabdi is cheaper better but cdg people prefer NH1 which is better, faster and comfortable...
At currently tejas not needed, either cancelled Shatabdi or extend it to agc
