DLW will develop more powerful High Speed locomotives with a max. speed capability of 200 km/hr. So, if DLW is developing an obvious question arises in mind that whether that would a Diesel loco or an Electric one?
High Horse Power (HHP) is what IR internally calls to what we RF's say EMD loco. In other words they are planning to develop a variant of the EMD series capable for 200 Kmph.
although whats the point of that no body knows. we have WDP 4 capable of doing 130-160 easily with short rakes and we never bothered to use it to full potential in tracks like that of KR.

So, that would be a Diesel loco. BTW what's the point of developing 200 capable D-loco? Can we expect that an unelectrified route will have trains operating at a max. speed of 200 km/hr!!!
only god knows. there is no point having 200/160 speed locos and rolling stock when the tracks barely support 130, and even OHE which is designed for 160 has issues at 160 Kmph (for E-locos)
How can WAP7 can be converted into 9000HP locomotive?
If IR can do it why not build new... Converting existing one doesn't make sense.
