I just created an Online Event through my Facebook Page "Indian Railfanning" by the name of Recommending ReBranding of IR through Graphics Designing ... so Come One & Come All for discussing the Indian Railways as a brand, how should it do its marketing to win back the passengers who've switched to road & airlines and the graphics designing aspect in this process... thanks _/\_
Re-branding or marketing can't save or rather bring back this dead elephant.

Branding and re-branding of a service is required when it is new or has competition. Here is a monopoly and something existing for more than a century, so not at all needed. All know what Railways is, nothing new to tell the populace :)
Immaterial of new publicity gimmicks like free...

yes. rather than marketing and re branding. Running the trains at proper timings. developing infrastructure to accommodate new lines new trains is need of the hour. There are trunk lines loaded more than 200% and still parallel lines are still under GC. and there is no plans to develop possible new alternative routes making railways to loss. moreover there are lines which rarely see trains so trains keep themselves distant from people so these needs policy changes than rebranding
