There would be no refunds if you cancel your ticket. However in the larger interest of other waitlisted travelers, it is advisable to cancel so that another gets a shot at it. But it is also purely one's personal choice if one wishes to cancel or otherwise.
can i know why? i am getting ticket in General quota, fare equals to tatkal but it is not tatkal ticket, are you 100% sure about your information?
