Quite a lot of traffic at YPR in the morning hours due to incoming and outgoing trains. Probably they wanted to avoid the reversal process. SWR has rejected speed-up of several trains earlier mentioning morning congestion at YPR.

But SWR allows 11022 to capture YPR platform for 3 hours in the morning and delays other trains.
Clear case of bus mafia and ignorance of SWR. This train should atleast halt at BAW for YPR bound passengers. Also BAND does not have good connectivity at odd hours and there is no option but to go till KJM.

Chalukya is a rather odd case, probably due to it's slot sharing. SWR sure does some inexplicable things.
But there are quite a lot of trains for which SWR rejected an early morning arrival. Trains like Kondaveedu arrive in the late morning hours because of the same reasons. But this train might end up being diverted via YPR real soon. Even the additional slack might have been introduced keeping a possible diversion in mind. Most likely they are just trying to see passenger response to the train skipping YPR.

Even with slot sharing, SWR should never have agreed for such a TT for chalukya from SR. Even after PGportal complaints, now they blame SR for departure from TEN!, now many trains like YPR-CAN are also delayed due to this PF issue at YPR.
This train could have easily gone to YPR and left in 20 mins with loco reversal. Also more than BAND, Hebbal is a better suited station as it lies on the ORR and can connect north and west Bangalore adequately, but PF length issues are there.
Even stations
...
like LOGH are not developed which have excellent connectivity as they lie on ORR. Then trains can bypass YPR and halt at LOGH, but I doubt if PF lengths are long enough at LOGH.
There is utter lack of thinking by SWR, and they continue blaming PF congestion, etc. Rather than doing something practical about it!
