I am not able to understand how this Aadhar based ticketing system would end the fraudulent booking or bulk booking by Agents?
How agents book their ticket, especially in case of trains from kerala to mas for migrant workers is. They will book one genuine traveler, who will be their staff and other 5 will be some random name. And in train, genuine person will show ID card, while other 5 will random people to whom they sold ticket. Now with enforcement of adhar card, they cant randomly give name.
But again it is not a big thing. They will get 5 adhar card details and use it for random booking. How they are implementing, we will have to wait and see. If adhaar check happens during booking time, then it will big blow during tatkal booking time. Already IRCTC is very slow, now...

I think once every passenger gets his/her Aadhar linked to his details, Aadhar number should be the only personal detail required for booking. The respective details should then be fetched from a central database using the Aadhar as a key. This, although is very futuristic to think of as of now, but once implemented, the problem of delay incurred in entering details (For TQ tickets specifically) will totally be done away with.
But what i understand from the news report is, a one-time validation of Aadhar number would be mandatory for each IRCTC account holders, at least for the time-being.
Since i can create as much IRCTC ids i want with different phone numbers/mail ids, i can use my friends/relatives/colleagues Aadhar number to validate the same too. In such a case, how would this become effective?
