KOLKATA: DRM HWH(DR. R. BADRINARAYAN) on a special meeting has raised the issue regarding parmanent diversion of 12019/20. The prestigious and only Shatabdi express of Eastern Railway is in danger passing over flames of Jharia coal fields near Dhanbad of Jharkhand. Every time the train snails through the region, the control room has a horror film being played.
DRM has asked the board to divert its route after Asansol via Joychandi Pahar-Purulia-Ranchi section falling under Adra and Ranchi division, increasing the mean speed and reducing time. He said this will be a equilibrium process as the train would miss few important stations but on the other side cherish many demands of the diverted region. We need to take a quick step...

In such case, a new Shatabdi can be considered between HWH and PNBE with stoppages at DHN-KQR-GAYA(reversal)-JHD.
Got these images from the web. If the pictures are accurate then I must say the situation is pretty frightening and alarming. The whole area looks like a living hell and idea of operating trains over this area is insane.

OMG!! What's this and are the tracks nearby to this area? okay "danger passing over flames of Jharia coal fields near Dhanbad of Jharkhand. Every time the train snails through the region, the control room has a horror film being played". Where is this located in map and why only about the Shatabdi?
These are pictures of OCP dumpground where the rocks (not the coal which is extracted) which are not usable are dumped.
Often they are fire-ridden, they are dumped off...
