Now that's something to worry about. You must surely go ahead to click here website and look into the issue further.
While on one hand they say they need more loco to be allocated to SR for them to run trains in the Shornur - Mangalore section then there is this article which talks about SR having excess loco (passenger and freight).

As per the below article, looks like 12685/86 might be the first to get eloco link till Mangalore ahead of much anticipated 12601/02.
