The Beypore station was actually at Chaliyam, just south of the Feroke river. This station was demolished a long time ago. The line now diverts from Kadalundi and goes towards Feroke station. The road from Kadalundi to Chaliyam follows the original alignment of the railway route. The route to Kozhikode was opened by 1888.
