Jodhpur-Bhopal passenger travels 992kms in 26:45 hrs @ 37kmph with 92 stops and skips 31 stations/PHs. BPL-JU covers the same distance in 28:10 hrs @ 35kmph.

It has been reported that- "In the interest of passengers", it is being upgraded to an express train with same number of stops and running time shall be reduced by 1:40 hrs & 1:15 hrs in two directions. for IR aspiring to touch 320kmph speed!!
Practically, the "upgraded" train is likely to be late as the number of stops is same and reduction has been done mostly by reducing the slack time.
The result is Sleeper class fare getting increased by 40-53% and Unreserved class fare gets increased by about 65%!!!

Soon IR may similarly upgrade suburban trains also by skipping a few stations and saving a few minutes in journey time again "In the interest of passengers"
