Jokkatte main purpose is Freight towards Panumburu. Actually making this station has relieved MAJN, where earlier Freights where occupying loops most of the time. So I suppose MAJN can be used for Parking. But PGT DRM says its laborious task of shunting here & there. The Distance between MAQ & MAJN is only 6 Kms. There is one more Old Mangalore Port sidings(Loops) accesible from MAQ. Regarding that our Mangalore Member (MRY) has to throw some idea.
