Discount na bhi de but it should charge extra for PRS reservation to earn for money incurred in Maintaining PRS centers plus PRS WL tickets are misused for travelling in Reserved compartments even when it fails to confirm.
If Railways and GOI wants to promote digital transaction then it should stop thinking just about it's own profit. Digital transaction ko badhawa bhi dena chahte ho or upar se E-ticket pe Service tax laga ke rate bhi badhana chahte ho. janta ko phuddu samjha hai kya????
what about those banner ads they have placed all over the pages? that does not count in revenue?
The revenue from banners ads in web page come under other income but doesn't add too much in revenue front. The service charges on sale of online tickets earns 300 CR's of which 50% is given to IR.
Service charge daalo PRS counters in order to promote Cashless/Online transaction. Cross subisidize karo phir sab log onlinke book karenge. Ek PRS counter ka monthly rent + electricity 10k-15k average aata hoga. Clerk ki salary alag (Estimate can be +or- depending on location). Uske paise PRS walo se wasool karo. IRCTC online mein sirf website hosting ka charge hai. no rent or bill.
