Itarsi-Allahabad route is very important and its electrification must have been it's top priority but IR is very slow in electrifying it. ET-PPI me hope thi but woh bhi fail kar gye. I don't know how true is this patrika news because Jabalpur Edition of DB has published that CRS had granted green signal to run e-loco on et-ppi route.
