If u wish to continue journey further from palakkad towards ernakulam or Trivandrum just book a seat from pgtn and board the same coach from pollachi. No catering in train till TVC and u won't even get a bottle of water at pollachi station. So keep a bottle of water with you. reg food one can buy from PGTN wen train halts for over an hour.

i was searching the same.. but couldn't get it. Read few years back, when there was request to start more trains from rameswaram, saying it is not utlised fully, this was mentioned along with the loco limitations.

Ya loco limitations are there.. WDP4 series loco cannot enter pamban due to its Span model.. But number of trains is not mentioned anywhere
May be mistake.. Let me check if i can find anything which says the same.
