GT/TN/ Coromandel and Mail are pretty much dedicated trans for Chennai and run packed throughout the year. None of them will ever be extended beyond Chennai.
At the most, some east and north bound weeklies terminating at Egmore may be extended. But if the Tambaram terminal comes up, then those extensions are also doubtful.
