Few days back RM was saying in parliament that only 16% of Indian Railways' network handle 65% of total traffic. You could imagine the traffic load on those 16% routes.
Same time 40 % of tracks are under utilized and so divert the trains in the under utilized sections to relieve the over congested routes
How would you like to Divert traffic of MGS ALD CNB NDLS route ? Kindly specify. Keeping in mind, this route is 130, with many Rajdhanis, Durontos, Garibraths, SFs with 130 while the other route has 100 110 MPS available. Kindly clarify.
Read a news about two NR controllers suffering heart attack while they were on duty in span of 3 days...Both accused the heavy traffic load and congestion being the main reason espcly in NR and NCR...
DFC is the only solution to this I think..Freight load in North India is way too much high..also railway should using the routes where less no. Of paasngers are there for freight trains..Like ALD-CNB via Unchahar Unnao should be used..Or GKP bound freight load via Sitapur side to NDLS..
Scndly they should connect the outer stations via a bypass line stopping freight to entr the main station premises..Like LKO NR has Almanagar connected to Uthratia via a bypass line..similarly more should be done like this..
