Indian train wont go to Lahore....may be once it was but now it will only go up to the last station of india and then passengers will go through the immigration and security checks and will cross the boarder and board a PR rail arranged specifically for this..
there is a documentary by National Geographic which shows this ...you can find that in youtube too

Passenger cross the border from Atari to Wagah by train so any of the train whether it's of PR's or IR's train it will have to cross the border.

as far as I remember , passengers cross the boarder but not the train...PR's train will stop at Wagah on Paskistan side and IR's train will stop and depart back from ATT ...anyhow thank you for the info...will check and correct myself if I am missing something here :)

Nahi bhai, train border cross karti hai. You should revisit National geographic documentary, u will get your answer.
