Road leading to MAJN is only criteria for SR to consider a station as an important one?

Blame everything on state?

not reason enough for SR to develop MAJN?

The PF and lighting at extreme ends, even for the basic PF1 shows that SR- considers Mangaluru as a milch cow for freight earnings and cares nothing for the passengers. And who is to blame for not re-naming Mangalore as Mangaluru at all places inside the station premises?

I guess, you got me wrong here. I am not speaking about MAJN station development. That is something which SR has to take care, which is something which they are neglecting.
Now the main problem for a passenger is connectivity from Mangalore city to MAJN station. And this, state govt has to take care for the benefit of passengers.
If you consider KCVL, road connectivity to station was bad. But state govt arranged buses. Now there are KSRTC(Kerala) as per the train arrival timing. So passengers are benefited because of this feature.

May be something like that can be done from Karnataka side. Not just in KCVL. In Kannur, for JS and Executive Express, Kerala SRTC buses are there to take passenger considering the odd arrival time. So even state should also take some responsibility.
And btw, don't get me wrong. I am great fan of KarnatakaSRTC. Was impressed with their transport system, especially Airvat series..

Ok. What I was told by a friend was - the buses private/govt stops some half a KM away from MAJN. Autos rule. Prepaid counter was started but closed due to some differences between SR and city corporation.
-
If the above is accurate, then the blame is of the city corporation and SR. But state is not to blame here, since having visited cities like Ballari, Tumakuru recently, which are smaller than Mangaluru, I saw that the local corporations with consultation of bus corporation and SWR, do ply buses from

The local corporation can try something like shuttle services from the station to the city, based on train arrival times for the benefit of passengers.
Based on weekly/daily train services, it can be seen that there are trains in both directions amost after every 2-3 hours, so it may not be a bad idea. It cana surely be explored

During my recent visit to SBGA, till new line opening, there was only one train which arrives to SBGA from Mysuru (pass train). KSRTC/Govt bus was ready outside station, to pick up pax arriving from train to bus stand, Similar way why can't KSRTC/GoK try something for MAJN.
