Which is the most worthless halt given to SF trains
Because it reduces the average speed & waste a lot of time.
I think a single halt in each city is enough.

Take for example, Tamil Nadu Express. While arriving NDLS it has a stop at NZM. One of the reasons might be that while the train is reaching NZM, the busy NDLS station is alerted to arrange a platform. A small halt gets that precious time. This also turns out to be helpful for passengers.
Everything has pros and cons. In this case, it might be saving fuel and pollution that can be caused from resultant road traffic. And Delhi is already congested. Some trains donot follow such system like Rajdhani which is totally fine, by the way!

for this problem , , I conducted polls in which it was asked that railways should try to ( I am not saying always but where ever possible ) to terminate the train in first major terminus en route after entering the city. /blog/post/2079356. It would also decongest the city lines and will be good for crossing over trains

More than HBJ before BPL I'll go for BIH before BPL. I mean most of the trains on ET-SJP route run like local trains in BPL halting at all the three stations HBJ, BPL and BIH.

HBJ is not a worthless stoppage because of huge crowd at Bhopal Jn, people prefer to board a train From HBJ rather than than BPL because of this reason only.

Locality of Bhopal jn(old bhopal) Is too congested and most of the population of city lives in southern side of BPL. SO GIVING halt on HBJ is worth. But the trains which doesn't get accountable patronage are stopped only at BPL Not Habibganj..
