Presenting highlights from a trip on the Chennai Shirdi Superfast Express from Chennai to Krishnarajapuram. It is the only train to cover the 345km distance between Chennai and Krishnarajapuram, with diesel locos though the section is completely electrified. Now this train is entering its last days with Diesel Traction. It is sad for some railfans. Now it got AJJ WAP1 between MAS and GTL(or DMM) yesterday.
It got e loco till DMM apparently, from where ED twins took charge! It was a one off case i heard. Since one of the twins had failed in MAS!
Is this e loco link permanent between MAS and DMM? Or will be switched to GOC/ED/KJM WDP4D end to end since there was a WDM3A loco failing?
No it is not permanent, happened only once, this week! Will have to wait and see next week
