after so many years still SR havenot been able to commission a sub-station ...

Tirur is no where near ready, but then they don't plan to convert Konkan bound trains immediately, biggest problem now cited is shortage of loco (RPM is getting 4 new WAP7 this month, more might be planned need to watch allocations, not sure about loco transfers from other sheds).
Its ok to remove loco links for passenger trains temporarily, since any way there is plans to convert some/if not all of these passenger trains into MEMU, freeing up loco as well as rakes to be used else where in SR like the Coimbatore-Pollachi, Palakkad-Pollachi, Punalur - Sengkottai (When the guage conversion completes this year).
