in E ticket every passenger should carry a original id or one is enough?

I have seen this thing.. that only telling here....one family was there im which only one person have the ID card... because the TTE asked for all IDs...and as they were not having IDs...fine was taken from 5 pax...
Here only at IRI one day one member told this instance happened with him in train...I did not remember that train name...but yes this can happen so be 100% ready with all IDs.
