Abhi~ 8548 blog poststhis train can be extended to Shirdi and become daily connectivity from SC.. considering people alighting at NSL to move towards SNSI ....plus a fast connectivity is required to SNSI..all trains from SC towards NSL / SNSI are slow ..
not possible...and already a daily SNSI bound trian is running form SC...
more over SNSI dont have sufficient parking facilities to accommodate another rake to park for the whole day...
and there is not way to reduce the time it takes to reach SNSI by train which is the only reason why people alight at NSL take bus which is just an hour away where as going to SNSI by rail means taking a round about route and traveling 2-3 hours form NSL ...

Snsi has 2 Stabling lines .In line no 1, Dadar passenger is stabled and in the Line No2, kakinada/ Secunderabad/ Vijayawada express trains are stabled .So,Shanta express can't be extended.If another Stabling line or platform no 3 is constructed, extension of the Ajanta express is possible.
i agree to the limitations ...but this would be the best contender for extension i suppose ...
not the best considering the journey time it takes... NSl-MMR-SNSI takes close to 3 hours where as passengers alighting at NSL and taking a bus takes close to 1 hour..
which is the sole reason why Ajanta and coa/bza-sc-snsi trains gets emptied 90% at NSl itself... and also you have a daily NS-SC-NSL which runs upto NSL for Shirdi pax...
it may be helpful for those who want to travel end to end but not required considering a daily train which is already running direct to SNSI from/via SC ..
